To write this piece, I dug up an old one and realized that over time, the Cabin has undergone quite the glow-up. Every nook and cranny has sprouted new functions and uses. So today, we're penning a fresh piece to enlighten y'all on the functionalities of each area, making it easier to "utilize" the Cabin in the most fun and confusion-free manner possible.
Now let's take a walk with us!

1. Parking Lots
We've arrived at the Cabin, matey! Now, where be the parking spot for our trusty vessel? Arrr!
When you swing by the Cabin for a visit, you can park your ride in not just one, but two cozy spots!
- The basement across the street:
You've been cruising down the street slower than a snail in a rainstorm lately, slippery roads and all. Better pull over, shut off the engine, and take a stroll indoors, mate. Those security fellas might seem a bit gruff at times, but deep down, they're just teddy bears with a tough exterior. Sure, they might bark louder than a pack of dogs, but it's all just to steer you in the right direction, no harm intended, ya dig?
– Cuối hẻm:
Từ cuối tháng Tư tụi mình đã sắp xếp thêm chỗ giữ xem ở cuối hẻm. Bạn đi thẳng xuống cuối hẻm tới chốt dân phố, nhìn bên tay trái ngay sát bên quán cà phê Petite Four và nói cô chú là “giữ xe cho tiệm bút, quán cà phê sách màu trắng” là được nè. Như vậy sẽ dễ hiểu với mấy cô chú nhất í.
You've been rollin' down the boulevard at a pace slower than a sloth in a drizzle lately, dodgin' puddles and whatnot. Time to hit the brakes, kill the engine, and take a jaunt indoors, buddy. Them security folks might come off a tad gruff, but truth be told, they're just cuddly bears in a rough shell. Sure, they might roar louder than a pack of hounds, but it's all just to keep you on the straight and narrow, no harm meant, ya catch my drift?

2. Kiosk's Bar
So we've valet parked up front to keep the road ahead clear, and we've thrown in some bright blue and red plastic chairs for you to snag a seat. It's like a little roadside fiesta, getting cozy with the lively rhythm of this alleyway. Good times ahead!
The bar counter is where I often park my behind when I feel like scribbling solo, diving into a good book, or grooving to the tunes oozing out from within the bar. It's also where I leisurely observe the bustling streets or admire a downpour, one sip at a time.

3. Pen/Paper Shop
Welcome to the pen and paper enthusiasts' corner, folks! Pens, both fancy and plain, ink bottles of all hues, assorted papers, and notebooks are all welcome here. We're all about that stationery life, you know! Personally, I love taking a stroll in the early morning sunshine, checking out this pen, flipping through that notebook, giving the paper a good sniff to enjoy that fresh, crisp scent. Ah, the simple joys of stationery bliss!
Then, I'll plop myself down and scribble with the pen gang lined up on the table, flipping through the pages of everyone else's previous scribbles. Just some random tiny words, but sometimes they crack me up big time.
If one fine day we happen to stroll together, I'll plop myself down on a long bench right by the old cinnamon tree, sipping away while we gab and giggle endlessly.

4. Bookstore & Gifting Area
Hop over the arched threshold into the realm beyond, and voila! You'll stumble upon the Bookworm Cabin, where tables groan under the weight of tomes aplenty. Here, we've amassed a trove of artbooks that'll make your eyes dance with glee. Art, poetry, novels, and even some foreign zines, all ready to whisk you away on whimsical literary adventures! 📚
Well, folks, this is the treasure trove where we stash all sorts of goodies for you to easily pick out when you're in a pickle about what to gift someone. We've got a plethora of greeting cards, artworks, gift wraps, and cute knick-knacks in every hue imaginable, courtesy of our local artist buddies.

5. Library
Surrounded by a fortress of books, this tiny folding chair is the ultimate chill zone. Need a spot to dive into a good read, hit the books, or just get stuff done? Look no further! And when those rainy days roll in, you'll have a front-row seat to the pitter-patter of raindrops dancing on the tin roof outside the balcony, accompanied by the occasional symphony of the air conditioner humming along (sounds like the backyard cricket chorus, doesn't it?).
Because of the tiny space, when we hang out, we keep our voices as hushed as a library mouse's whisper to avoid disrupting the focus and personal space of others, ya know. In our little hangout spot, we've got this cute mini fridge stocked with some milk tea and dreamy coffee, so everyone can grab a sip and settle the tab on their way out. Cheers to that!

6. “The Lost Artist”
The doodle zone is where all the cool kids hang out, scribbling, coloring, cutting, sticking, you name it! The cabin's got this little nook stocked with sketchbooks, crayons, watercolors, and a bunch of other knick-knacks so you can plop down and unleash your inner Picasso. It's like the ultimate hangout spot for those kiddos, you know, like their "favorite spot" whenever they get dragged to the cabin or something. I always see them, sometimes sitting with mom, just doodling away all day and then proudly parading their masterpieces home.
Actually, this is like the secret hideout for a lot of big kids too, you know.

7. "Fragile" Room
"Welcome to our newly re-decorated mezzanine! Just a heads up, it's a bit delicate because we're using it to display our ceramic collection. Watch your step, we wouldn't want any of those pieces to start identifying as floor names."
Alrighty, folks, now we're repurposing this joint into a fancy pottery display area and a cozy hangout spot. We're thinking we'll get pretty creative with this room, ya know? It could morph into all sorts of things—event space, exhibition hall, or future gab sessions spot. Plus, we're eyeing it as a makeshift movie theater for those rainy days on the rooftop.

8. Childhood Area
Right by the door to the rooftop, there's this cozy nook where you can park your rear, eavesdrop on the chatter below, and catch a glimpse of rooftop magic. This is our little corner where we stash all those adorably easy-reads and visually stunning doodles from the House of Quill and the Shadowy Studio. It's a merry mishmash of stickers of all shapes and personalities, from cute and cuddly to just a tad mischievous. Swing by and take a peek, won't you?

9. Rooftop
Here's the spot for all you fresh air enthusiasts, those who prefer contemplating under the open sky rather than cooping up indoors in some chilly room. Early mornings and cool evenings are prime time for you to park yourself here. The weather's just right, and you can sit back, relax, and watch the clouds drift by.
These days, Saigon's been raining cats and dogs, yet here we are, still putting up lights and chairs. And soon enough, we'll probably throw up a canopy, because we've got to have a spot to chill and enjoy the raindrops tap-dancing on our heads, right? Our rooftop isn't exactly towering, nor is it the penthouse of the Cabin, mind you. Many of you wandering souls often end up lost in our library or wandering into our workroom upstairs. Here's hoping you stumble upon this tiny patch of heaven if it's your first time at the Cabin, folks!
*Hey folks, just a heads up that our cozy little space might feel like it's doing the limbo dance, and our kiosk is basically the self-service coffee stand – if you could kindly return your cups and saucers there on your way out, that'd be grand. Bin hopes that after reading this little guide, y'all swinging by will find it easy-peasy lemon squeezy to navigate and have a blast in the Bin, feeling as comfy as a kangaroo in a pouch, each in your own groovy way, factoring in your vibes and energy levels for the day too, ya dig? Cheers, mates!*
Even though you might fancy a solo adventure, sometimes it's just more fun to gallivant around with pals, doing simple things like doodling or leafing through a book. Or perhaps you're just strolling aimlessly, exchanging glances with so many faces that you're not sure if you're shivering or grinning, and then you just meander back home.
